Key Features and Benefits of Drive Backup Server Express at a glance:

Features Benefits
System and data Backup
Drive Backup Server Express 2008 is a server-oriented backup solution providing a comprehensive solution for system disks (volumes) and all valuable data stored on a server.
Backup “on the fly”
Create images of the server’s hard drives “on the fly”, without leaving Windows and slowing down the server. This simplifies the backup job remarkably and keeps the server accessible during backup operations.
Protection of server at critical points
The user is guided through the backup process by the Backup Wizard. This wizard also helps with creating recovery points which are handy to have before applying any critical system updates, hardware upgrades, migration or data maintenance.
Bare-metal Restore
In the event of an unbootable system, you can easily rescue it via the Recovery environment that can be booted on Paragon DOS, Paragon Linux or MS Windows PE to restore the whole server (including system and data) or just separate partitions (volumes). It also possible burn a custom bootable recovery CD/DVD containing backup images. In the event that you need to restore separate files and folders, you can mount backup image as a disk and browse it with a special in-built tool Volume Explorer.
Rapid server recovery
With Drive Backup Server 2008 Express companies of any size can minimize downtime in comparison with file-based backup solutions. During restore, the software extracts the data and system software from a previously created backup image. The process of directly extracting sectors from the image to disk is much faster than a file-based copy. This makes restoration of server system and data, even from a bare-metal state, as fast as possible.
